If you have notice ALL big new game releases are doing this. It all started with MW3 subscription service and has become the new normal for DLC.
Although I think that there should be more to it than the early map packs and 2x points weekends. I see that gamestop is already pushing the subscription services for CoD BO2,assassins creed 3,and Halo 4. I try not to buy these services through them ( mostly to save on gas money considering the closest GS is 15 miles from me )and wo...
Now your talking! I truly think the BF3 developers should start watching the military history channels more often . With shows like top ten weapons,future weapons,and stories about black ops missions the ideas for the BF3 future could be AWESOME!I mean do we really care about gun camo's?
Perhaps your ideas will be in BF4....?
I resepect your opinion,but I disagree with you on the BF3 dlc as a whole package. As Dice has said early on was that the dlc for BF3 would be deverse and I feel that they have been right on the money!
I do agree with you on the close quarters being VERY CoD like and would be my least favorite BF3 dlc to date.To me armor kills is what battlefield is all about and really enjoy the new maps and modes in it!
This issue seems to happen in alot of games like Saints Row 3 and CoD MW3 . This sucks and should have been updated before the game ever was released. I always thought that was what beta testing was for!?!
I have to agree with you. Although its not as much fun as Battlefield 3 is to play and I can see the comparision to a CoD style of game. To its more like the latest Ghost Recon .
For those gamers that prefer a CoD type of game play may like warfighter,but a better choice may Black Ops 2.
To me it looks more like the a cross of MW3's and BF3's single player games! I can't wait to try the crossbow.

The best advice that I can give you for dealing with the gunship is to have 1 person as a sniper with a SOFLAM to target the gunship and a engineer with a Javilan to lock on and shoot it down. As you may find that this tactic will take teamwork,but it does work VERY well.
Even if the gunship drops flares,as long as that SOFLAM is locked on,the gunship is TOAST!

As a avid player of BF3 for the xb360 with alot of time in playing it,I will admit a true love for the game!
I recently got it for the PS3 and have to say that the servers for the ps3 seem to be pretty stable,with the only glitch ( and this goes for the 360 aswell ) is finding decent players who like to use there mic and work as a team to squad up with.
The graphics for the PS3 seem a bit more colorful than the 360's and runs just as good.
I have been seeing a bunch of coverage of this game,but have yet seen a release date for it on EB/Gamestop. Is this a UK only release?

Why YES, I have tried it,but if your a fan of ghost recon games for the old xbox and or are a fan of the GRAW series for the xb360 then you will be disappointed!
The game play of future solider is slow,the graphics are poor and the overall fun factor of the mutli-player is missing from the other GR games.
Don't waste your time or money on this game.There are much better games out there with Battlefield 3 as a VERY high recommendation !

I love BF3 and have since the day it came out The map packs have been worth every penny and just keeping getting better with each release. My gripe is that there should be more weapons to get then new cameos.
My way of thinking would be that when on deffense the squad layout would be a sniper with a SOFLAM,2 Engineers with javilins and 1 support to provide ammo. With the right group of people ,this should work very well.
Sleeping dogs for the 360 and BF3 premium for the PS3.
Trials evo forsure,but I think the best of the year games are yet to come.
Thats the BEST part of having a subscription service! It gives the developers incentive and a little money in there pockets.
